The Toyota Corona in general, is almost non existent in the United States. The Corona was brought over in 1966, it marked the first car that Toyota brought, and designed specifically for the american market. The Corona went through three generations, in the Us market, and increased in popularity as the years went on. Over the production span, the Corona was marketed as a 2 door coupe, 4 door Sedan, and a Wagon, Paired with a three speed automatic, or a four speed manual transmission. With a 2.2 liter overhead cam 4 cylinder engine, producing around 95hp. By 1975, over 500,000 Toyota models had been sold. The Corona is a real rarity in the United States, compared to its' successsor. The Camry. The Corona set the stage for Toyota, and the Camry was the next Toyota, but it lost the fun, and the good looks.

Same here, I wonder where they all went? If that is Toyotas high sales numbers are correct. I've got this old Corona ad on the wall in my house.
